Unique round ceramic candle holder designed by Noomi Backhausen for Søholm Stentøj, Bornholm, Denmark. The stoneware candle holder is handmade of chamotte clay which gives it a rustic surface contrasted by the decoration in organic shapes in earthen and green colours.
Noomi Backhausen (1938–2011) was one of Denmark's leading ceramic designers during the 20th century, her artwork is represented at several museums in the Nordic region. H 9,5cm D 8cm Perfect vintage condition.
