Hi, I'm Süreya.

I make these journals by hand here in Italy, where I live in the mountains with my partner and two dogs.

For a long time, I struggled to keep a creative practice. Pages felt too precious, sketchbooks too big and too intimidating. So I decided to try something different and made a pocket journal, one that was small enough to finish, only 32 pages, one page a day.

It worked. I filled it, then made another, then another. And here we are, 2 years later, filling page after page, pocket journal after pocket journal.

That rhythm of starting fresh every month became my way back into creating—not sporadically, but regularly and imperfectly. 

Now I make them for others who feel the same way. Each one is bound by hand: just paper, thread, and time. I love the quiet of making them, and the idea that something born from my hands continues its creative journey in yours.
